BROMYARD'S main square was packed on Saturday afternoon for the annual Christmas lights switch-on.
The town is well-known for its lights which are always varied and each year there are always new lights to look at, including an angel for this year's display.
Eighty-year-old Edgar Whiteley, a volunteer in the town, was the guest of honour for the switch-on at 5pm in the town's square.
Father Christmas, the mayor and the town crier also made an appearance to celebrate the event.
Throughout the day there were many festivities including a Christmas Fayre and real-life reindeer.
In the Bromyard Chamber of Commerce and Industry Christmas Window Competition, the French Nest came first, Caleb Roberts second and Classic Carpets third. Tenovus and 50/50 were highly commended.
