Committee agree in principle to fixed fencing on the Bromyard Downs

From The Hereford Times - Click here....!

An association which works to preserve and manage The Bromyard Downs has agreed in principle to put some permanent fencing on the common land.

The Bromyard Downs Common Association's committee agreed that fixed fencing of some type could be put up on areas of the downs, so commoners could graze their livestock safely.

Chairman of the association, James Hawkins, said: "Being a voluntary group, we first need to consult the committee and see if they are happy to go forward.

"We then go to the the commoners, residents, parish council and then Herefordshire Council."

If the idea was met with approval, an application would need to go the secretary of state and there would be a formal public consultation.

After much awaiting it Little Meadow animal Rescue will be opening its door for trade on Wednesday the 1st March 2017 at 10 am 20 high Street Bromyard if we are ready or not you have waited long enough. We are still looking for Volunteers and Stock for the shop and we will be grateful for both. Sign writers may not have been able to do the poss above the windows by then as it all depends on the builders but we will be open. We cannot thank all of you that have donated to our charity to make this all possible but at least now we will have a better income coming in to pay for the upkeep and welfare of the animals we take in that are homeless, sick, injured or orphaned

What's happened to this lovely old barn on the road to Malvern then? It's become an eyesore with that tin all over it.

A Big THANK YOU Tim Russell ( LockSmith) As a new local charity that does not have the following that big Charities have, we were at a loss as to where to start, when from pure kindness "St Michaels Hospice" helped us out with some equipment for our new shop, that we can never thank them enough for. Only problem was one of the items was, a nice glass jewelry case that was locked with no key. We first tried a company called LockRight they said it was £75 per hour, Others were not available then I had an idea to ask Bromyard info. Most recommended Tim. He was great he came when he said he would, and charged a fraction of the cost. Well done Tim your in our book now,
